IRB/IACUC are regulatory boards that monitor the treatment of human and animal subjects. We will learn how they came to be implemented and why they are a necessary part of research compliance. The presentation will review the IRB/IACUC review processes along with some examples of California and Federal regulatory regulations.

Biography
Tim has 20 years of experience in research compliance and managing research projects. This experience was gained from work at UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Chicago, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, and the RAND Corporation. Tim is also a substitute teacher for the Santa Ana Unified School District.
