Michael Menerey is a Senior Vice President and Benefits Consultant with Alliant Insurance Services and a partner in the California Employee Benefits Practice. He currently oversees and manages Alliant’s Los Angeles employee benefits team and is focused on new business development and recruiting and developing talented team members. Michael works with a variety of clients including public agencies, commercial employers and large purchasing coalitions. Michael enjoys collaborating with his clients to challenge the status quo approach to benefits and is constantly evaluating new products, vendors and strategies that can drive lower costs and create value for employers, employees, and their dependents. In 2017, Michael launched a podcast series, Reconstructing Healthcare, that explores what is wrong with the current health care system in the US, examines what drives higher healthcare costs and exposes deficiencies in traditional insurance products. Michael interviews companies that are providing innovative services and solutions designed to not only disrupt the health insurance marketplace but deliver lower costs and better value for employers and their employees.
