Auxiliary organizations are committed to advancing the mission of the CSU, and the campus partnership is a critical factor in determining the effectiveness and success of the organization. This presentation will explain the statutory and regulatory responsibilities of auxiliary organizations, including those that directly influence the campus relationship. The program will focus on an understanding of the auxiliaries role and rights in relation to the attached university, as well as steps that may be taken to protect the organization.
The program will provide new and experienced attendees with an overview of the relevant authority regarding auxiliary operation, as well as offering suggestions on how to review operational parameters and governing documents for long term organizational security.

Biography
Mr. Erickson is a principal owner of McDougal Boehmer Foley Lyon Mitchell & Erickson and has been an attorney since 1992. For the past two decades, Mr. Erickson has represented California schools, community colleges, and college and university auxiliary organizations in a wide variety of legal issues involving all aspects of education law, discrimination law, and labor and employment issues.
