Details

After three years of Alternative Consultation, the ASI Student Wellness Initiative (ASWI) at Cal State Fullerton was officially approved in the spring of 2025. This session will review the complex, unique, three-year process that the ASI student leaders and staff experienced to get approval for the ASWI, a comprehensive expansion/renovation of the student union and recreation center, construction of a new wellness center, centralization of all campus basic needs services, and significant build out of student programming, scholarships, and club funding. The session will focus on three areas: the passion of the student leadership over three years, the process of navigating campus politics (i.e., three different university presidents), and a review of the ASWI plan. The presenters will include ASI student leaders and staff from the past three years.
