A representative from the Goldman Sachs Sustainable Solutions Group will present a summary of current themes observed in ESG investing across our institutional client base. We will also discuss best-practices for aligning investment portfolios with the mission of your organization, as well as pitfalls to avoid when considering the spectrum of ESG investment opportunities. A comparison will be made of simple investment screens vs. ESG integration and impact investing, and we will discuss the pros and cons of each approach.

Biography

As a part of the campus senior leadership team, Mr. Donahue oversees CSUN’s business and administrative operations. His responsibilities include financial services, budget planning and management, human resources, facility development and maintenance, police services, parking and transportation, intercollegiate athletics, risk management, and internal audit. He has over twenty years of experience in university administration, having come to CSUN in 1996 to lead campus reconstruction following the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Prior to joining CSUN, he spent a number of years in the design and construction industry. Mr. Donahue is a champion of innovation and best practice within the CSU, and is committed to ensuring resources are aligned with the University mission and priorities. He is a past chair of the CSU Chief Administrative Business Officers (CABO) affinity group, and serves a director of serval CSU and community boards. He earned a B.S. in Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Master of Public Administration degree from CSUN.

Biography

Abigail is global head of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Sustainable Solutions Group, which provides a holistic platform for clients to develop and pursue their environmental, social, governance (ESG) and impact investing goals. She serves on the Consumer and Wealth Management (CWM) Sustainable Solutions Council and the PWM Women’s Council. Prior to her current role, Abigail led the US Institutional Client Solutions business within CWM, which provides outsourced chief investment officer solutions for nonprofits and other institutional clients. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 as an analyst and was named managing director in 2021. Abigail serves on the Spark Prize Committee for the Brooklyn Community Foundation and the advisory committee for EmpowHer, a career development program for women in sustainable finance at the New York University Stern Center for Sustainable Business. Abigail earned a BA in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has a CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
